COMPXM answers 2020

COMPXM is an exam that is done after completing capsim competition rounds. It has two sections, i.e., decision making and board query question. There is no defined way for decision making in comp-xm. However, you need to understand your competitors’ strategies. You must also be very careful when making decisions concerning forecasting, research, and development as well as marketing and promotion. For board query question, most formulas are taught in class. So remember to review the information provided by your instructors during capsim practice and competition rounds. The purpose of this article is to guide you to get the right COMPXM answers for the decision-making section.

Choose COMPXM strategy

I usually go for broad differentiation because it is more flexible. As the game progresses, you can change it to a hybrid of broad differentiation. In this case, I mean making adjustments, especially on thrift segment, to sell at a lower price than the industrial average to maximize your market share.

Next round position reported on the previous round report is not the same since it depends on the competitors’ position each round. Therefore, when you receive round 0 report, make the adjustments suggested above to differentiate your products.

Introduce new products in nano and elite segments.

Ensure both products will be released to the market by the latest August 30th next year (round 2).

Make sure the names of new products starts with “A” since this is compxm Andrews company

IMPORTANT!!!

If any decision results to revision date more than October 10th the same year (round 1 year), adjust size and position to reduce revision date (increase size by 1 and reduce performance by 1)

 Ensure that you spent the highest for both promotion and marketing to get the highest awareness and accessibility.

IMPORTANT!!!

In case you have customer awareness, more than 82% (on any product) do not spend more than 1400 on the promotion budget.

Also, note that spending more than 3000 in marketing for a product in a given segment does not bring about additional advantage unless you have more than 1 product in that segment

COMP XM TQM decision

Tqm is a group of strategies that will help you reduce research and development cycle time, material cost, labor cost, and increase your demand. Ensure that you spent on each element a total of 1000 in round 1. It will cost you a total of 10,000, but it will bring you an additional advantage.

Make sure you make a financial decision last

Do not issue stock since it will dilute your stock price.

On the finance dashboard, scrolls down and checks the last item, i.e., cash position.

Issue long term and short term loan until the cash position at the of the year is at least $2000.

Ensure long term debt issued is at least 70% of the total value
